The Valley of Tea and Ethnicity

3 Nights & 4 Days

A valley of Tea growing area and wilderness. Sylhet is also famous for Saints and shrines, tea gardens, megaliths, wet lands and Sreemongal, for tea gardens, rain forest, seven colour tea, different ethnic villages and water fall.

Day-1: Fly to Sylhet in the morning. Arrive and transfer to Hotel, visit to the ruins of the Jaintia Kings and the megaliths, at Jafflong see how the rolling stones from the Jaintia Hills are crushed for use in construction. Cruise in Sari river, where the waters are crystal clear and you can see the bottom of the river. On way back visit saint Shah Paran’s shrine and Hazrat Shah Jalal’s shrine in the city center. Overnight.

Day-2:  After breakfast, drive to Sreemongal, the tea capital. Arrive and transfer to hotel. Afternoon visit to tea gardens and if possible visit to tea factory, enjoy 7 colour tea. Dinner with Monipuri Dance.

Day-3: Early morning visit to Lawachara Rain forest, see the sunrise on the forest and search for wildlife, like gibbons, barking deer.   Walk through the rail track where “The famous film Around the World in Eighty Days” was filmed for some moments. Reach the Khasia tribal village and understand their life style. After breakfast visit to Madhabpur lake and lemon grove and pineaple plantation.  After lunch visit to the Tripura village, a ethnic minority. Overnight.

Day-4: Drive to Dhaka.
